How to plan your trip? How to cover all sights and catch on everywhere? What does seen and what does not? How does not lost in a foreign city? These question emerge for many tourists wen they planning their trip. Everyone chooses their approach to finding an answer. I solve this problems with services google.
What we have? 7 person, 3 cars and a great desire to visit and see many place of interest, but at the same time, whatever it was quick, easy and, most importantly, convenient and comfortable for all.
Before the trip, was created the table with Google Docs, in which each person has entered its proposals that take on a trip. It was then chosen and each has recorded major in his column, those that should buy and put to his car. The same was quickly calculate the price of products and things that need to buy. We were very convenient to access a common table: every member of travel was always aware of the case.
Then, I think every traveler, would be very useful service Google Maps. With the help of maps, we very quickly to lay routes and orient in urban areas.
Before travel we was viewed as difficult to pass interchange points and in some places determines the quality of pavement and busy route.
And so it was day of departure, as well as «joined» my Google calendar, in which I entered tagging and monitoring «whether we do not lag behind the schedule?». Also in Docs we have statistics on the cost of petrol at all cars and number of cash purse of their owners.
Every day, we (sometimes in off line mode, the Internet abroad is not everywhere) adding new data and statistics to date.
The map was also not forgotten. We lay the route, and monitored the location with GPS. When faced the question of finding the nearest refuelling or cafe, map always give the right answer and give us output of the complex labyrinths cities. So we save time, fuel and forces, which were needed for us that would see new and continue our journey.
In cities where all disperse, it was very easy to assemble using gtalk. WE should only call and explain how to go to the place of the meeting, lost members. We didn’t need to spend money on mobile communications. It is very expensive.
In the trip that would not accumulate photos on computer disks, I send them through to my Picasa album and show my friends, where I sunbathe or where I climbed today in search of adventure.
Sometimes we used a translator, that would communicate with the «natives», but many persons in our team knew English, so that only translated signs and pointers.
Each member of our visit, said that the journey was successful at all and he would like to repeat it yet and not once!
